I signed up to do Kilimanjaro based on the reviews I read online and boy – I was not disappointed! Genuinely could not recommend Earth’s Edge highly enough, from months before the trip even happened, until we got home; they created an experience that I don’t think could be equalled. Any more “Once in a Lifetime” trips for me – will definitely be through Earth’s Edge!

A reluctant out of shape 47 year old took on the challenge of a lifetime. Motivation came from supporting the IRFU Charitable Trust but confidence grew through my dealings with Earth’s Edge. From the initial telephone enquiry with Joyce to the itinerary, kit list and expedition detail; I began to gain a detailed understanding of what I had signed up to. The pre-departure weekend was full of helpful detail, fun and again was a huge confidence builder for me. James and Brian are true professionals who tell it as it is. I arrived at the airport ready for the challenge and thankfully completed it along with the other 32 people in our team! A word must go to the Earth’s Edge crew in Arusha. That team were truly inspirational; the support, effort, work and fitness of each and everyone was remarkable. To Goodie – the very best of luck in Nepal and to FUSO – you are the man. I look forward to hearing about your guiding journey. POLE POLE

I had a fantastic trip! Every one at Earth’s Edge was very helpful and supportive. They were able to accommodate my every (and there were many!) need. A superb company, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

I have and do highly recommend Earth’s Edge. Trips are fantastic, destinations are incredible and best of all they make it so easy for us to travel with. After climbing Kilimanjaro 3 years ago, our goal was to go back to Africa. The tri-adventure was full of adventure, activity and fun. So sad to be back home now. Gotta start planning our next trip!

The trip with Earth’s Edge was well organised with the travellers not having to organise much themselves. The ability to turn up at the airport and having everything in place makes life a lot easier.

The Kenya Tri-Adventure is the challenge of a lifetime. An epic hike, summit day is not for the faint hearted. The bike trip is topped off by camping in the middle of the Kenyan Plains, surrounded by wildlife, topped off by white water rafting…just fabulous!

I have travelled on three expeditions with Earth’s Edge and cannot fault their extensive organisation and planning for each trip. Their attention to environmental responsibility is to be admired. The Irish guides and doctors do a fantastic job and the local guides are superb. Friendly and helpful advice always available. I would highly recommend Earth’s Edge!

I travelled to India to trek the Himalayas with Earth’s Edge – from the time of booking to the end of the trek I felt very well looked after. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I have no hesitation in recommending them. I hope to travel with them again on another adventure!

Having done two expeditions with Earth’s Edge – two very different types of expeditions – both have been the best trips of my life so far.
I first did Kilimanjaro, and recently did Machu Picchu. For both expeditions, the office staff, the Guides, the Doctor, and the local guides have all been absolutely brilliant. The office staff are all very responsive and helpful with any kind of questions and give you all the information you need, plus more.
The Leaders are all extremely supportive, motivational and experienced in what they do, so you feel 100% confident under their watch which means you’re able to (somewhat) relax and enjoy the trip for what it is. They’re also GREAT craic! I’ve had the same doctor on both trips, which thankfully we’ve not had any use for, but again, it’s great to know you’ve got that there if you do have any issues at all. And again, another great addition to the team.
And lastly, the local guide teams on these trips have completely blown my mind. The level of support, the food they are able to cook and the sheer amount of work they put in for the entire team is just out of this world. They are unbelievably hard workers, and they genuinely have a passion for showing us their country and sharing lots of info on their culture, their people and mostly, their language! Absolute Heroes.
It’s just an awesome setup altogether. You go abroad with a group of like minded people, all with a similar goal in mind and you come away with some seriously amazing memories – and new friends. Can’t wait for the next trip already!

I had never gone on a holiday like this before. Right from the day of enquiry about the holiday to completion, the staff at Earth’s Edge made you feel at ease. A full list of activities throughout the trek was provided, along with a comprehensive list of things needed. The training weekend was very informative and gave you a good insight to how the trek etc. would be set up. I really do appreciate that there is an Irish GP along too, he provides you with that little extra bit of comfort. The expedition leader provided great entertainment and motivation throughout the trail, particularly on the longest day. I would highly recommend Earth’s Edge.

Before I booked any trek adventure I wanted to be sure I was travelling with a safe and trusting company, I researched Earth’s Edge who have many excellent reviews, I’m so happy I booked my trek to Machu Picchu with them, it was everything I hoped for and more, brilliant memories and laughs I’ll remember forever. Thank you Earth’s Edge!

I couldn’t have asked for a better trip with Earth’s Edge. The office support and administration, the organisation of the trip, the trekking, the leader, the doctor and the local support were all top class. I will most definitely be a returning customer!

Amazing group of trekkers from all walks of life with a great guide in a beautiful country meant that this trip will go down as one of the best adventures I have ever been on. Tanzanian people are among the most intelligent, kind and welcoming nation I have ever come across. The Machame trail was beautiful from start to finish and the view at the top of Uhuru is like none other. Don’t hesitate, just go!

I found Earth’s Edge offered a professional service. Everything was well organised from start to finish and I was very impressed by the standard of local staff in Tanzania. Kilimanjaro was my first trekking adventure but definitely won’t be my last.

Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro was my first expedition with Earth’s Edge, and what an adventure it was. It encompassed every emotion I can think of, from complete mental and physical exhaustion on the final ascent to the summit to the elation of standing at 5,986m! The whole trip was so well organised, John the expedition leader was incredible and all the local porters and guides were amazing, with never ending smiles and enthusiasm. I will definitely be back for another adventure…thank you!
