Earth’s Edge was recommended to me by an experienced climber when I first mentioned climbing Kilimanjaro. I am so glad I took his advice. From the very first email, I knew I was in the hands of professionals. Mary the team leader was brilliant, funny and so experienced. Nothing was an issue for her. Keith the team doctor, a cool man who kept an eye on us constantly and was always there when needed. Absolutely brilliant experience and my next adventure will definitely be with Earths Edge. Thank You!

Earth’s Edge staff are so helpful and efficient at responding to emails and general enquiries. The level of detail in the itinerary is a testament to the level of organisation. Our guide Mary was exceptionally brilliant. Her knowledge of Kilimanjaro was invaluable and enhanced our appreciation of the mountain. She became a friend to all. She went above and beyond her job as a guide. Would highly recommend Earth’s Edge for any trekking holiday it far exceeded my own expectations.

Earth’s Edge are an extremely well organised and professional organisation. My adventures to Mt.Kilimanjaro was a trip of a lifetime and I’m so glad I booked it with it Earth’s Edge as they did not disappoint. The information, pre-department weekend, continuous support of on the trip were second to none. The quality in food, accommodation and local guides were excellent, and having an Irish doctor travel along with us was very reassuring to all of us. Overall it was a great experience!

If you are looking to travel to perhaps the most remote part of the world, meet truly inspirational people, be challenged physically like never before and be absolutely blown away by the most awesome scenery and mountains you will ever witness, the K2 basecamp Trek and the Gondogoro La pass in Pakistan with Earth’s Edge is for you!

K2 Basecamp and the Gondogoro La Pass, has been one of my favourite trips. Beautiful scenery, amazing food and very knowledgeable local guides. The pass provided a nice challenge where I was able to use crampons and ropes for the first time. Descending the back of the pass was a highlight. The real highlight was meeting mountaineers ready to summit K2 and Broad peak, we were able to have a group dinner with them and really get some insight into high altitude climbing. Mike Horn was at K2 base camp and being able to meet him and hear his stories about trekking and adventures across the world was so inspiring. I can honestly say that meeting these people really made the trip for me.

This was our first group trip and we had an amazing experience. An unexpected stay in Addis Ababa wasn’t that bad as it allowed us to get to know the group a little before the hike. We were with a fantastic bunch of people all with the same goal (to reach the top) We laughed a lot throughout the hike. Cannot praise the guides and porters enough! Their morning singing and their words of encouragement kept the spirits high. Wouldn’t have made the top without their support on summit night. Will definitely book another trip with Earths Edge!

I had the most amazing experience with the Earth’s Edge team from the moment I booked Kilimanjaro to the final farewell dinner. So much care and attention was taken in all aspects. The preparation for the trip with equipment lists, training advice, the itinerary, communication and the customer care given on the mountain was second to none. I personally loved the mixture of people on the mountain; our group were from all walks of life and corners of Ireland, Brazil and the UK. We were all excited to learn about Tanzanian culture and lives of our guides and porters who were more than happy to share their stories through chats as we hiked and sang songs in the mornings. I would recommend Earth’s Edge to anyone who is looking for a company who truly cares about the experience of its clients and employees.

My Elbrus expedition in July 2019 was in a word “AMAZING”. We had a wonderful group, great local and Irish guides and an excellent Dr (who fortunately we didn’t need at all). Whilst the weather didn’t help us too much on our proposed summit night thanks to some quick thinking we were able to adjust our itinerary, extend our time on the mountain and summit on night 4. We all made it to the top of Europe!

I had the most amazing, challenging, spectacular, emotional, breathtaking, difficult most exciting time of my life with Earth’s Edge on the Choquequirao and Machu Picchu Trek.
I loved every minute and would do it again in a heartbeat. Earth’s Edge thought of everything which allowed me to enjoy the trek and think of nothing. Thank you Earth’s Edge!
Mary (Meg) Murphy, Co. Cork, Ireland.
The new Machu Picchu and Choquequirao trek took us on one of the world’s best hikes in the heart of the Peruvian Andes. If you want a great mental break from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life, from meeting friendly locals, bathing in the stunning scenery and seeing exceptional wildlife, this truly is a great choice. Our guides were incredibly knowledgable and passionate about the culture and history of the area. An amazing experience I will never forget.

My father and I had an incredible first expedition with Earth’s Edge to Everest Base Camp and Island Peak. Our expedition leader Brian & Doctor Domhnall were outstanding. The Sherpa guides looked after us phenomenally well. We literally just had to show up at Dublin airport with the appropriate gear, fitness levels and motivation. Absolutely everything else was taken care of for us – from that point until we arrived home again. So we got to experience a beautiful country and a big physical and mental challenge with an awesome group of people. I can safely say that if Earth’s Edge run a trip that I am thinking of doing, I wouldn’t consider going with any other company or trying to organise it myself. Exceptional value for money for the service you get!

Going on the Kilimanjaro adventure with Earth’s Edge was certainly a time I will never forget. From the pre-departure weekend, all way through to summiting was simply fantastic. Just sign up and go, 150% worth every penny!

Without Earth’s Edge professionalism, support and understanding and the great Tanzanian guides who sang and danced us all the way to the top on summit night I don’t think I would have made it to the top. What a life changing experience from start to finish!

I genuinely had an unforgettable experience travelling with Earth’s Edge to climb Kilimanjaro. It was challenging but fun! The group were an amazing bunch to travel with, never having a dull moment. The guides and porters on the mountain made the experience so much more special than I could have imagined. Can’t wait for the next one!

Highly recommendable and well-organised trip. Great value for money and the company appears to operate in a culturally/socially/environmentally responsible manner in the host country. I was averse to group organised trips, but the experience means that I will definitely book again.
