About The Ladakh Trek

This Ladakh Trek is a 19 day expedition with an itinerary suitable for experienced trekkers who have a good level of fitness. The Markha Valley is one of the most popular regions in Ladakh for trekking. Stok Kangri is one of the World's most beautiful trekking peaks.

The Markha Valley's proximity to Leh, Ladakh’s capital make it very accessible. This route takes us through the heart of the Markha Valley where we pass many monasteries and traditional villages. Taking this route before attempting Stok Kangri is very good for acclimatisation and maximizes ones chances of reaching the summit.

Towering at an impressive 6153 metres, Stok Kangri is a serious challenge. Although at such an impressive height, it is not a technical climb and requires no advanced mountaineering skills. We work our way up to base camp over a number of days to maximise acclimatisation and improve chances of a successful summit attempt.

The view from the top is one of the best in the Himalaya offering great views of the Zanskar and Karakoram ranges including K2 (8611m), the second highest peak in the world.

Ladakh, often referred to as ‘little Tibet’, is characterised by Buddhist culture and tradition. Visits to monasteries, palaces, markets and remote villages are all included in this expedition.

Not only will you enjoy 16 fantastic days in Ladakh on this expedition you will see Delhi’s best sights, enjoy plenty of retail therapy and fantastic Indian cuisine!
