About The Kali River Expedition

Our Kali River expedition is one of the best in the Himalayas and gives one a fantastic taste of India. The picturesque river has long rapids with fun wave trains followed by relaxing flat sections making it a very safe river. The river forms the border between India and Nepal. Typically we have lunch in Nepal and then set up camp on a large sandy beach in India.

The river is full of fish including the impressive Himalayan Mahseer. If you catch one, we will cook it! There is great wildlife in the area and you may be lucky enough to spot leopard, bear, elephant, monkey and some of the 500 different species of bird. Spend the afternoons relaxing or hiking to nearby villages, waterfalls and hill tops.  Meet plenty of friendly locals and learn about the Himalayan culture and way of life.

As well as enjoying six fantastic days on the Kali River you will have the opportunity to explore Delhi and do some shopping.

*No previous experience is required to join this expedition as a rafter. All training will be provided on location. Kayakers should have experience on class IV whitewater.
