About The India River Expedition

Our India river expedition includes three days rafting or kayaking on the Ganges River and six days on the Kali River.

The Ganges is the perfect warm up river before we descend the Kali, one of the best multi-day expeditions in the Himalayas. These picturesque rivers have long class III rapids with fun wave trains followed by relaxing flat sections making them very safe.

The Ganges is one of the world’s most famous rivers with huge religious and cultural significance in India. It is life, purity and a Goddess to the people of India. Anyone who touches the water is said to be cleansed of all sins.

The Kali River forms the border between India and Nepal. Generally we will have lunch in Nepal and then cross over to set up camp on a sandy beach in India!! The river is full of fish including the impressive Himalayan Mahseer. If you catch one, we will cook it! There is great wildlife in the area and you may be lucky enough to spot leopard, bear, elephant, monkey and some of the 500 different species of bird.

After enjoying nine fantastic days on these great rivers you will get a chance to see Delhi’s best sights and enjoy plenty of retail therapy.
