Role Outline – Junior Admin and Ops Role

Our business is growing fast. We are looking for someone to join our existing team who can help with and enhance our administration and operations processes. Being a small, dynamic and growing business, each day is very different and you will be encouraged to contribute to the existing working practices and processes in place.

We take great pride in providing amazing, expertly run, unforgettable expeditions for all of our guests. To do this we have had to set ourselves a very high standard to meet each and every time. That is why each of our events goes through a detailed management process entailing over 100 separate tasks. These can range from, book keeping, confirming arrangements with our local operators, writing operational and promotional documents and dealing with guest bookings and payments.

This position would suit somebody who has excellent organisational skills, a desire to grow professionally and to contribute to a unique business in an exciting sector. We are looking for someone with existing values which will tie in with those of the company. If you want to work in a positive, open and dynamic working environment we want to hear from you.

Skills / Experience Requested

– Excellent attention to detail is essential.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

– Team player able to work in a busy environment.

– Ability to multi task & assist in all aspects of the business when needed.

– Excellent knowledge of programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

– Knowledge of bookkeeping.

– Capable of working on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

– Strong organisational skills.

– Willingness to learn.

– Commitment to customer service.

– Energetic and enthusiastic about their work.

– Good financial awareness.

– Fluency in written English with excellent spelling and grammar.

– Knowledge of the adventure travel industry would be an advantage.

Terms of work

Full time position working Monday to Friday 0900-17.00 with one hour included for lunch. Three month contract with the view to permanency, based in Dublin 4.

Start date – Jan 2018.

 

Payment:

Circa €24,000 per annum based on experience plus performance related bonus.
All Earth’s Edge staff travel on one expedition per year after their first year of service.
