About The Mount Kenya Trek

The Mt Kenya trek is one of Africa's most beautiful routes. Mt. Kenya was formed between 2.6 and 3.1 million years ago. It was possible that the original volcano was over 7000m in height, more than 2000 metres higher than it is today.

Our Mt Kenya trek takes you to the second highest peak in Africa, after its famous neighbour over 300km to the south- Kilimanjaro. The huge advantage that Mt Kenya has over Kilimanjaro is that there is always much less trekkers on the mountain.

We trek to Point Lenana (4,985m) one of the three main peaks of the mountain. The other two peaks known as Batian (5,199m) and Nelion (5,188m) are only accessible to technical mountaineers.

We will take the most scenic and remote route to the summit. This beautiful route  passes through a wide variety of landscape with stunning scenery throughout. You will enjoy four nights of wild camping on the trek, sharing stories around a campfire and gazing at the stars.

Not only is our Mt. Kenya trek a fantastic five days of trekking but we will also have time to experience some of the most unique delights Kenya has to offer. We will enjoy two game drives with the chance of spotting Africa's big five; lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino.

Our Mt. Kenya trek promises to be an unforgettable experience for all involved!
